Specialized education on the subject of non-traditional agricultural production with a focus on the cultivation of medicinal plants was held on 25 and 26 October 2012. in the Info point for entrepreneurs (kindergarten building) in Jasenovac, aiming to contribute to the future development of agricultural production potential and increase opportunities for self-employment in the area of Jasenovac.
Education was attended by a large number of participants.
The first day of training, participants learned about the cultivation of medicinal plants in organic farming (tillage, sowing / planting, protection of plantations-harvesting, drying herbs, work equipment with herbs), handpicked herbs (herba, seeds, flowers, roots) and guidelines on good agricultural practices.
As a practical example, Danijel Matić, director of Herb M d.o.o. and also a lecturer, shared his experiences with attendants.
Second day of training topic was "Rural Entrepreneurship."
Assistant Professor Dr. Mario Njavro informed the attendants with management in agriculture, business analysis, business plan development, rural finance, investments and credit in agriculture and risk management in agriculture.
At the end of the second day of training, all attendants are awarded with certificates of participation, and gifts, USB sticks containing training materials with the logo of the project "Construction of infrastructure and modernization of access road for new jobs in Jasenovac" on behalf of the organizers of education Municipality of Jasenovac and SIMORA d.o.o.
